Sometimes...

You just need one song to play on repeat to write the three papers that accumulate to 13 pages that are due next week.

Last week it was this song:

And this week it's this song:
I heard in a store a few weeks ago and forgot all about how I loved it.
Then the Lord came down to tell me loves me and put it on the radio.
Did I write it down like I told myself to do while it was playing?
No because I was lost in Seattle again even though I've lived here for over a year now.
But I am a great detective and found it this morning and have been playing it for the last hour and would you believe it?!
I have one paper/5 pages done. Only 2 papers, and 8 pages to go.

Country Music Lovin'

I do not know what it is, but there is something about the spring that brings out my love for country. I have been listening to country music non-stop for the last week and I am beginning to semi-hate the fact that I will be living in a city for the next 3 years. Thank God Washington has water, mountains, and a city. I can just drive to whatever I'm needing.

If you are in a country mood, these are the songs I suggest.

 Wanted by Hunter Hayes.

Crazy Girl by Eli Young Band

Drunk On You by Luke Bryan

Somebody's Heartbreak by Hunter Hayes

Gimmie that Girl by Joe Nichols

Just to start you off. It may be cold, but it never hurts to roll your window down and sing one country song on the top of your lungs to remind you its spring time.

Finals Week Playlist

Well, I am at that point in the semester where I find myself on campus a lot typing away just like I should be doing right now, but I am super distracted.

So I thought I'd give you some songs you may want to add to your play list.

Diamonds by Rihanna.
Catchy, upbeat, and gets you started on that hard work.
Or the perfect song to take a little dance break to.

I have always been a James Morrison fan because his voice makes you fall in love.
If you need something sappy or raspy, this is your man.

Yes, I jumped on the bandwagon. This song is just too good to pass up!

I am loving the new sounds of music that are coming and this is one of those songs that is also too good to pass it up.

Who knew Ellie Goulding had better songs than just her hit "Lights?"

Do you ever just hear a song and decide you want to listen to it over and over again?

Here is my latest song obsession:

I promise you will love it!

Passion: Music

When I was a child, my dream was to become a superstar. I loved singing and I just thought I was the best singer in the world. Unfortunately, in middle school I had very low self-esteem (what middle school student doesn't?) and I allowed a close friend to tell me that I could not sing. For a long time, I was too shy to sing in front of others and only sang when I was alone. I used to write songs all the time and pretend they made it to number on on the air. Fortunately, I have slowly been able to crawl out of the cave I put myself in during middle school. I can actually sing in front of my friends and even some strangers. Well here is me singing in front of some more strangers. These video's do not have the best quality and I am not the best guitar player at all. But here is me taking a risk and allowing whoever to watch see a passion of mine.

Yellow by Coldplay. In memory of camp!

Washed by the Water by Needtobreathe. This is my favorite band and this song helped me get through the tough times last year when my dad lost his job.

The First Cut is the Deepest by Sheryl Crow. I love this song.

A rainy day and music that speaks to the heart

Music has always been powerful to me and still is. So with that here I go:

I miss everything about you:
your eyes, your smile, the way you made me laugh, the way you made feel, the way you opened me up to love, the way you never pressured me, the way you always let me be me
Can't believe that I still want you
After all the things we've been through:
the distance, the conflict, life
I miss everything about you

I don't know what I've done
Or if I like what I've begun
But something told me to run
And honey, you know me, it's all or none
Cause I don't know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
Cause she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood

I'm a new soul, I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a but about how to give and take
But since I came here, felt the joy and fear
Finding myself making every possible mistakes
